Helen Boden
Helen Boden is a Yorkshire-born, Edinburgh-based writer, educator and editor, widely published in poetry magazines and anthologies. Her first collection A Landscape to Figure In was published by Red Squirrel Press in 2021 and selected for Scottish Book Trust / Creative Scotland’s Debut Lab. She also collaborates with visual artists to make responsive poems and place-specific text. A former lecturer in English and Scottish Literature at Edinburgh University, she has been an independent Literature professional since 2003, working across a broad range of cultural, educational & environmental settings and specialising in: Writing for Wellbeing, Writing & Place, Writing & Visual Arts.
She has lead many poetry walks, including for StAnza, Refugee Survival Trust, and to mark the centenary of Wilfred Owen's trip to the Pentland Hills with Craiglockhart Field Club
