Juana Adcock

Juana Adcock is a Mexican poet, translator and editor based in Scotland. Her Spanish-language poetry collection, Manca, explores the anatomy of violence in the Mexican drug war. Her English-language collection Split (Blue Diode Press, 2019) was a Poetry Book Society Choice and was included in the Guardian’s Best Poetry of 2019. She is currently translating the Mè’phàà poet Hubert Matiúwàa’s The Dogs Dreamt (Flipped Eye, forthcoming, spring 2023) and Laura Wittner’s Translation of the Route (Poetry Translation Centre, forthcoming autumn 2023).
