Roger Robinson: Home is Not A Place

Chitra Ramaswamy Roger Robinson

Saturday 5th November

2:30 pm - 3:20 pm

Roger Robinson is one of the UK’s most-celebrated poets. After his success with the T.S. Eliot Prize-winning ‘A Portable Paradise’ in 2019, he’s now publishing the revolutionary ‘Home Is Not A Place’, a new book of poetry and photography, co-authored by photographer Johny Pitts.

The book follows Robinson and Pitts as they tour the UK in search of Black British histories and cultures. From the seats of a rented red Mini Cooper, the pair drive from top to toe of the country, creating photography, poetry, and essays along the way. ‘Home Is Not A Place’ is the culmination of those multi-artform creations, and Robinson joins Push the Boat Out to discuss, in depth, the book and its story.

Co-produced by Speaking Volumes, Sprung Sultan and Coastal Carolina University.

£10.00/£8.00
