More Fiya: A New Collection of Black British Poetry

Janette Ayachi Dean Atta Degna Stone Rachel Long

Sunday 6th November

2:00 pm - 3:20 pm

‘More Fiya’ is a celebration of the remarkable and blistering work of Black British poets in the UK today. Edited by the poet and DJ, Kayo Chingonyi, this anthology is a wondrous spiritual follow-up to Lemn Sissay’s seminal, ‘The Fire People’ and, like Sissay’s text, ‘More Fiya’ burns brightly with talent.

Contributing poets Dean Atta, Janette Ayachi, Rachel Long, and Degna Stone take to the Push the Boat Out stage to read from and discuss this era-defining new work. This is not a moment to be missed: anthologies like ‘More Fiya’ are exceptional and, just like the poets in this event, filled with some of the best contemporary poetry you can find on an international platform.

With thanks to Canongate for their support for this event.
