Kirsten Luckins

Kirsten Luckins is project manager for the Rebecca Swift Foundation, a charity established in 2018 to honour the life and work of editor and poet Rebecca Swift. Dedicated to advancing the craft, creativity and wellbeing of women poets in the UK, the Foundation runs the biennial #WomenPoetsPrize, which awards a cash prize plus two years holistic mentoring to three women resident anywhere in the UK. This year the Foundation also established a #WomenPoetsNetwork offering a varied programme of online and in-person events, including a one-day hybrid Festival on 19th November.

Kirsten is a published poet; her 2021 collection Passerine (Bad Betty) was longlisted for the Laurel Prize for Eco-Poetry. She is formerly Producer for performance poetry organisation Apples and Snakes across the North of England. Based on the North-East coast, she currently runs the Tees Women Poets collective.
