The Institute for Experimental Arts is a platform for creative expression and research in the fields of theatre, performance art, digital media, installation, poetry, and art theory, based in Athens, Greece. The goal of the Institute is to foster an environment which allows for the development of radical theoretical practice, hand in hand with creation of artistic activity.
The Institute organise the International Video Poetry Festival; from their rich and extensive archive they have specially selected a series of short films under two thematic strands reflecting the shared interests of both their own curators, and the Push the Boat Out programming team. This compilation presents poetic responses to the turmoil of contemporary news media.
