Through the looking glass: eco-poetry from the personal perspective

Suzannah Evans Samuel Tongue Caleb Parkin Tawona Sithole
Alice Tarbuck

Saturday 5th November

11:00 am - 11:50 am

A poetic revolution has taken place and reclaimed the natural world. No longer is nature poetry confined to masculine mountaineering and wandering lonely as a cloud; poetry has burst that myth wide open, leaving our natural world free to be enjoyed by all. This panel’s poets are some of those working in the forefront of that field, engaging with the natural world through many new, exciting lenses. Whether that’s exploration of the land through sci-fi eyes or the fight against our climate crisis, poets Suzannah Evans, Caleb Parkin, Tawona Sithole, and Samuel Tongue are committed to challenging the status quo, one rhyme at a time.
