International poetry sensation, Nora Gomringer, is joining the Push the Boat Out programme to present her new collection, ‘The Trilogy of Surfaces and Invisibilities’. Widely acknowledged as a performance poet who threads her way between page, stage, and image, this performance will capture all three of those tumbling talents.
This new, exciting collection is divided into three sections: monsters, illness, and (obviously) fashion, each questioning this idea of the ‘normal’ body. It is also packed with pop culture references, questions on the monstrous, and ideas on the inscribed and gendered body. Gomringer’s work is ready to surprise, startle, and charm Push the Boat Out audiences in this vibrant and vivid performance event. This event is hosted by Gomringer’s translator, Annie Rutherford, and supported by the Goethe-Institut.
