Joelle Taylor: Othered Poems

Joelle Taylor

Saturday 5th November

12:30 pm - 1:20 pm

Joelle Taylor is a poetic force to be reckoned with. Her first book, ‘Holding Out’, was released in 1987, and since then Taylor has spent the decades touring on international stages, using poetry as a tool to educate and heal young people, and publishing widely in anthologies and collections. Now, with her book ‘C+nto and Othered Poems’ (which began life as a spoken word poem about butch lesbian counterculture) having won the T.S. Eliot Prize, 2021, Taylor has cemented herself as one of the UK’s most celebrated poets, both on the page and stage.
In this performance event, Taylor takes to the stage to share her poetry and stories with her well-known and loved wit, humour, and sharp eye for a well-placed rhyme.
