The Business of Being a Poet

Nadine Aisha Jassat

Friday 4th November

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Have you ever wanted to become a full-time poet, but not known where to start? It can sound daunting, at first: learning how to make a living from your writing, how to use your poet-skills to generate income, and where to start looking for your first, and next, job.

At ‘The Business of Being a Poet’, Nadine Aisha Jassat will help you build the skills needed to become a full-time writer. As a poet, author, and creative practitioner, Jassat has years of experience in workshop development, finding clients, and publishing her work. She has performed her work nationally and internationally, taught writing across the UK, and has worked in partnership with dozens of arts organisations to deliver creative writing workshops.

Please join Push the Boat Out for this very special session, targeted at poets both new and emerging.
