The Sunday Night with Hen Hoose

Rachel Long

Sunday 6th November

8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Hen Hoose Collective is a group of female and non-binary musicians and producers who collaborate in creating genre-defying, lyrically voracious and beat-pounding music. Established by Tamara Schlesinger (MALKA), the collective find fusion across electro, pop, R&B, indie, folk, and all the spaces in between.

Formed at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, with cancelled tours and the order to stay at home, the Hen Hoose musicians took the opportunity to create Equaliser: a twelve-track album born with a vibrancy and originality never achieved by many musicians. Featuring at this special, Push the Boat Out and Hen Hoose gig are members Emma Pollock, MALKA, Carla J Easton and Djana Gabrielle, each performing a set with their own unique voices.

In true Push the Boat Out style, acclaimed poet Rachel Long, founder of Octavia Poetry Collective for Womxn of Colour, will treat the Hen Hoose audience to a startling and energetic reading of her poetry.

£15.00/£12.00
