Women Poets' Network Gathering: Touring, Gigging, and Sharing

Kirsten Luckins

Sunday 6th November

4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Kirsten Luckins is the Project Manager of the Rebecca Swift Foundation and former producer for spoken word charity, Apples and Snakes. Push the Boat Out is delighted to host this partnership event-come-workshop, which will be split into two parts.

The first half of the session will be a group discussion and knowledge exchange, focusing on finding poetry gigs and touring shows. You’ll map networks, compile top tips, and make new connections within the group itself.

The second half of the session is a Women Poets’ Mushaira: a fluid sharing of work, where participants will listen to one another’s poems and respond with one of your own (if you want to). Feel encouraged to bring along your poems, pamphlets, and collections, and speak if and when the muse strikes.

This session is open to all those who identify as a woman.
In association with the Rebecca Swift Foundation and Scottish Poetry Library.
